VOICETESTING

ALUCARD

• castlevania (netflix)
• The child of Dracula and his human wife, Alucard took the name because he intends to kill his father to stop the war he's waging after the death of his wife. Alucard may or may not be a bratty teenager in an adult's body.

GODBRAND

• castlevania (netflix)
• Godbrand is a viking vampire who really loves being a menace to society and also boats. Voted most likely to open his mouth when he really shouldn't. Thankfully(?) Dracula can (usually) get him to shut the fuck up.

AELA

• the elder scrolls v: skyrim
• A member of the Companions, a group of warriors who fight and hunt for glory and honor. The higher-ups are werewolves, Aela included! She's an awesome werewolf and doesn't get people who aren't here for the wolf life.

THERION

• octopath traveler
• A master thief who gets caught in the first chapter of the game, Therion's doing his best, probably. He just likes stealing things and wants to live a simple life where he doesn't have to care about people, why is this so difficult??

EIZEN

• tales of berseria
• Eizen's both a pirate and a reaper, which really just means that he has terrible luck and everyone around him experiences it. Despite this, he does whatever he wants and charts his own course. Also he's an edgelord, that's a thing too.

MAGILOU

• tales of berseria
• A self-proclaimed witch who is as quirky as she is useless, Magilou may or may not be more than she appears. It's anyone's guess, really. No one knows what she's thinking at any given moment.

DEZEL

• tales of zestiria
• Dezel wants one thing: revenge. He's also an edgelord who is kind of bad with people, but he likes animals and will actually save them from the party. He's not a jerk with a heart of gold, but he's not Literally The Worst either.

LUNARRE

• tales of zestiria
• Literally The Worst. He's a hellion who eats people, as you do. What are his motivations? Who knows! Why is he like this? Who knows!! Is he ever explained? Of fucking course not, so I'm gonna play him anyway.

VIRAL

• tengen toppa gurren lagann
• While he starts out as comic relief, Viral eventually does get a role! Because he became immortal and eventually learned about the power of friendship but shhh, let him pretend he's hardcore. He's a pain in the ass and needs to be stopped.

GANGREL

• The tyrant king of Plegia who is just Awful. He's here for revenge and war and being a dick, because Gangrel knows what he's about. May or may not get some character development.

XANDER

• fire emblem: fates
• The Crown Prince of Nohr who is more focused on his duties than anything else, though that doesn't mean he loves his family any less. His dad is totally insane, but maybe after the war he'll chill...

SHIGURE

• tales of berseria
• The fightiest man alive. Let him fight!! He's not happy unless he's fighting. Also enjoys cats, being a terrible older brother, and headbutting people in the face. He's just Like This.

YEAGER

• tales of vesperia
• Yeager's the leader of a guild of assassins, yet he's somehow the world's most annoying man who won't stop making trouble for everyone. Also he died and came back to life, but w/e!!

YURI LOWELL

• tales of vesperia
• A protagonist who takes the law into his own hands. And by that I mean he kills people who are Terrible. Even when he really shouldn't?? Please get him some character development.

ZAGI

• tales of vesperia
• The most dedicated rival you'll ever meet, but he really needs to stop showing up at random and trying to kill Yuri. He's really fond of murder and needs to not.

Pick one of the characters above and post a comment to start a thread with them! You can hit me up on plurk or discord to work out a scenario and then we can get started! I'm usually pretty easy and can roll with whatever, but there are a few things to keep in mind: ★ Please let me know if you want to avoid spoilers! Most of these characters have spoilers, but I can take them from earlier canon points or find ways to avoid mentioning said spoilers if you want to avoid them. ★ AUs are totally fine for voicetesting purposes! Pretty much anything goes, just let me know what you have in mind. ★ I'm not interested in smut! ★ Shipping is totally fair game, though! I'm here for pretty much any ship you throw at me, though I don't ship Dezel and Rose. Anything else is fine and I'm totally willing to voicetest by way of shippy cr, sure why not. ★ Gen cr is great too though!! Give me anything you've got, I am here for stupid shenanigans!! ★ If you don't know who you want to thread with, you can let me decide! I know it's a mistake, but it's a shorter mistake than the game so let me live!!!! I haven't played some of these in awhile, and obviously there are quite a few I'm voicetesting. ★ I am absolutely here for both castmates and cross-canon! If you've got characters you want to voicetest as well, throw them at me and we can see where they go! ★ I tend to love messing around with either jamjar settings or murdergame settings for cross-canon; those are a lot of fun and there's plenty of flexibility! If you've got other ideas though, I'm definitely here for them. ★ CRAUs are totally fine too, just let me know if you'd prefer the CRAU version or the canon version. ★ If you want someone who isn't on the list, let me know! [Spending time with Eizen for the last ten years has been, to put it bluntly, the best years of his life. It's what he could have had with Theodora, and as much as his heart still aches...

Well. At least the pirate ship they call home is fun. Even if he does miss being able to interact with humans. The pirates are still plenty of fun, though. Always telling stories.

They might not know Zaveid is present, but every once in a while, one of them will attribute something going wrong to "the old first mate", and he's probably right about that.]

...Are we getting closer to the next stop? I'm looking forward to being on dry land again.

[They're definitely right about that. The Reaper's Curse certainly hasn't lessened any in ten years, and it will always be a problem for him and everyone around him. Eizen's gotten used to that idea, though. He's still going to pursue the life he wants, and right now, that life is on this ship. Having Zaveid along for the ride isn't all that bad, anyway.] Don't tell me you're getting seasick. [It's almost sarcasm, though it's said just a bit too bluntly to really make it there. The smirk probably indicates the intent, at least.] It shouldn't be too much longer. Give it another day and we should reach port.

[Well, Walder was vaguely familiar with people suddenly popping into the general vicinity of the Grandcypher from other worlds in the past. Even if he'd never been directly involved with events like that, he'd definitely spent a fair amount of time talking to Djeeta, Lyria, and Vyrn about it.

So... well, he was a bit surprised to have it happen to him, but he wasn't completely thrown off by the whole thing. It would be fine! All he had to do was figure out whatever he needed to do to get back home! ...And to get the other people stuck here back home.

Fortunately, in this world, he was pretty in his element! ...but he was one person, and there were a lot of people to take care of. So... he was currently staring at a piece of paper in one of the common areas in the center of the camp, trying to settle on a design for a recruitment ad...]

Hm... it really has to pop, but maybe I should make it even more relevant to forest rangers? Or maybe I should offer training...

Seasick? Me! Not at all! I'm just not a fan of being cramped on a ship for months at a time. I need space to move around!

[In other words, he's bored.]

It'll be nice to stretch my legs out. You want to go drinking when we dock?

[reaperscurse]

[It gets a short exhale from him, something that might be a laugh.] Of course. The crew didn't have enough for this voyage. I couldn't get away with sneaking off with a bottle or two and I've been dying for something better than they've gotten anyway.

[Weird things happen in Skyrim all the time, but those weird things are usually "dragons attacking" or "some random person showing up and proceeding to destroy everything by shouting" or even "vampires keep killing everyone in Whiterun, please stop I need those shopkeepers". Usually things don't end with her winding up in some other world entirely, but you know what, sure. It's fine. It's not like she's missing out on anything important like the fight with the Silver Hand and the retrieval of Wuuthrad, it's fine.

Aela's never been one to sit and brood or mourn what could be, so instead she's been taking initiative. And by that I mean she's been doing a lot of hunting. It's far too risky for her to transform and use her werewolf form, since she has no idea how any of these people will react. As irritating as it is, she's stuck only using her bow, but she's a damn good shot so that's at least a little more fine than being stuck here.

She's headed out to hunt today when she happens to pass by Walder as he's speaking up.]

Forest rangers?

[Huh. Maybe hunting can wait for a bit. She's never been opposed to conversation, after all.]

What sort of training could you provide?

[Despite the rather harsh choice of words, she's not actually trying to be insulting?? She's just. kind of blunt.]

[He strides over to Eizen, smirking, hands in his pockets. Honestly, the idea of going through town, looking for anyone who can see them— it sounds fun.

Especially if it means they can spook a bartender in the process.]

Maybe we should stock up for ourselves.

[reaperscurse]

We can't go stealing everything, you know. [But his grin has widened anyway.] You're making it sound like it'll be an adventure.

[sivard]

Come now, Eizen. I'm not saying we'd steal!

I'm saying will leave money on the counter.

[reaperscurse]

Yeah? How much have you got on you? Enough to cover a couple of good bottles...? If you can't covering it, I'm taking it. [He's still sort of grinning, but is he joking or not...??]

[sivard]

I've got enough for a party.

[I mean it would be a party for just the two of them. But that's even better.]

[reaperscurse]

Fair enough. We'll do it your way. Let's just try to make sure we're not late catching the boat.

[Fortunately, that's a question he was actually expecting and is ready to cheerfully detail!]

Well! I was thinking of starting out with the basics, like identifying herbs and plants that are safe to eat and what isn't safe to eat, along with how to navigate if you get lost. It seems like there are a quite a few people here who don't know that, and I should spread my knowledge far and wide to help those poor souls!

Only because I'm sure you'd argue with me until I gave in otherwise. [He sounds fond, despite the words.]

Have they never left town? If you don't know that, you won't last a moment out in the wilderness.

[It's still a bit on the blunted side, like she can't imagine people not leaving town. She's from Whiterun though, you've got a lot of people who go to the Cloud District never leave town there.]

Are you planning on running this all on your own?

[sivard]

You know it. [He can't help that he's a wind Malak.]

Well... there's a little more civilization where I'm from than there is here, and I think it's even worse for some other people. So I should help them out!

[he smiles, looking almost cool.]

After all, even though I'm used to working alone... that's part of the duty of a forest ranger! Though, I wouldn't say no to help, if you'd like to join me.

[reaperscurse]

You'll have to amuse yourself until we reach port. Don't think of jumping off the ship before that, they'll notice if the wind starts doing anything strange again.

It'll go faster if there are two of us.

[That's Aela for "I have nothing better to do and I'm slowly going crazy from boredom, please let me help".]

Oh, excellent! Do you want to help me make signs to put up around the camp, then?

[he holds up a piece of paper expectantly...!]

[shieldsister]

[She just sort of deadeyes him like "you expect me to do a single thing involving artsy crap that is not somehow connected to my proud Nordic heritage". That is exactly what that look conveys.]

Signs will do little good. People tend not to read unless there's a good reason for it.

[like skill books!! even then you just open them up and gain a skill so who actually reads.]

That's why you need to have some stunning art to attract the eyes!

But you're probably right. We might want to announce it in the middle of the camp instead.

If you want to waste time on the fliers, be my guest.

Anyway, Aela takes that as her cue to just... head on over to the middle of camp right now?? Apparently we're doing this, okay.]

If you do it, you won't be getting back on board when we leave. [It sounds like he's trying not to be amused, though...]

Well, I guess I can do a cool speech off the cuff! Just let me take a few breaths...

[he'll head on over, then! Time to be a cool ranger man... once he's gotten his shit together, anyway.]

[That makes Zaveid snort a laugh, because of course he's not actually the least bit worried about things like this.]

What'd they blame it on the last time, again? A sudden wind storm?

...If that's what you want to do.

[She was just going to announce it in all her blunt glory, but sure, go ahead and come up with a cool speech, she'd like to see this.]

[reaperscurse]

That, and bad luck. They'd blame everything on bad luck, regardless of if it's the Reaper's Curse or not. [But he sounds fond despite it.]

Might make it a little fun, huh?

I'm not sure I'd call bad luck "fun".

Mm. I was thinking seeing what they'd blame on bad luck, actually. Nothing too drastic, of course. No reason to make them go completely miserable.

[Zaveid's fond of the crew. He just wants to torment them a little bit.]

Sounds like you have something in mind. Go on, I'm listening.

Oh, you know. Silly things. Like what if we stole one of every pair of socks.

[Zaveid can be a troll too.]

You're ridiculous. You'd use our invisibility for something like that? [He says, like he hasn't used it in order to steal drinks...]

Of course not. If I'm going to use this to my advantage, I'm going to make sure it's for a good reason.

I'd say your definition of "fun" varies from mine.
