[It's been a little over ten years since the two of them arrived here. Ten years is an awfully long time to be stuck here, but returning home isn't an option anymore. It hasn't been an option since they first started changing, and that wasn't all that long after they arrived. Kimbley had grown a tail and ears and Archer's eyes had turned red. It's amazing to think they had been so scared by those changes back then.

Things are different now. They aren't human, but there's no reason for that to bother them. Archer is a vampire (something that he found painfully ironic in the beginning, but he's adapted quite well to it, if he does say so himself). Not much has changed about him, appearance-wise. His nails are much longer and sharper, his eyes are red, and he has the stereotypical vampire fangs, but aside from that the only difference is the slight point to his ears. It's not like he could get any paler anyway.

Archer enters their shared apartment after work, shrugging off his coat and hanging it up before proceeding into the living room.]

Kimbley, are you home yet?

[It's easier for Archer to feed since he only needs blood and can control weak-willed humans, but he's more concerned about Kimbley.]

I'll see if I can find some others to hunt with.

Of course. It wouldn't be a problem to bring someone here, though I'd hate to see what would happen to the floor.

[He'd be cleaning it for weeks to get the smell out! Ugh.]

[It's a little late for him to be still be constantly cleaning the damn house.]

I know that. Hopefully we'll never have to rely on bringing meals back here.

It's not like I'm still injured, but I'd rather be careful for a little while.

Of course. Things are bad now, but we'll make it through this. We always do.

[He'll.... think of something. Maybe. Kimbley isn't exactly capable of coming up with good plans, considering he's still too impulsive for his own good.]

Maybe we should relocate to another part of the city. It shouldn't take that too long.

We'd have to move everything and find some place else to live... It would be expensive and time-consuming. I don't think anyone knows we're here. It should only be a last resort.

Even if we are stronger than humans, I'm sure weaknesses to silver are known by now.

[It's incredibly difficult for him to be patient about anything, but he's doing what he can. Getting injured would be awful. He doesn't want to think about what might happen if there was a repeat, or both of them ended up injured next time.]

[As long as Archer doesn't get hurt next... Kimbley isn't sure what he would do if that happens. It's not like he can default to getting mad right now.

His hands flex, and he looks annoyed for a moment before he speaks again.]

That's what I'm hoping for, but we can't rely on it. We'll just have to lie low and wait.
