LOCKED TO
tobeahero
[This was not the way things were supposed to go. Logan had always been a bit wary about "going with the flow" as opposed to planning things out in advance, but this was really pushing it.
He was supposed to have been capable of summoning a Servant and participating in the Holy Grail War. It was his duty as the head of the family. He should have been capable of it. Unfortunately, his Magic Circuits were far too weak to properly perform the summoning, something he hadn't counted on until he'd already tried.
...Needless to say, things weren't going as expected.
Logan had sought out his younger sister, Ashlynn, and had brought her into the study, where the necessary items were for the summoning. It was possible that they could work together to control the Servant and win the war, but without strong enough magic, Logan would essentially be useless. He didn't want to get his sister involved in all this, but there was really no other way around it; they needed to win the war to prevent the coming darkness. It had been shown to him in a dream by the Seer of the Spire, a woman who had guided their mother to her victory in the Holy Grail War years ago. It had been fifty years since their mother's victory and a new Holy Grail War was inevitable. What wasn't inevitable was the coming darkness, and Logan was going to do everything in his power to prevent it, even if it meant shoving his sheltered sister into a fight for her life.
Surely she'd understand.]
I know this is sudden, but I need you to assist me with something, sister.
[He ceases his pacing, stopping in front of the shred of cloth on the desk. It's clearly ancient and well-worn and Logan fingers it carefully.]
...What do you know of the Holy Grail War?
[Considering how little he's told her about it, he doubts she knows anything, but maybe she'll surprise him.]

no subject
Yes! Of course!
[Ashlynn answered it eagerly. Her brother was reaching out to her for help to protect Albion. How could she possibly say no?]
Though... I don't know that I would have the ability to, either. I don't know how.
