LOCKED TO

[Well, Olivine City isn't as bad as the routes Naki has been on for some godawful amount of time. That's really the only positive thing he can say about the city at first because he's far too busy complaining about how sore he is. One would think he spent the entire time on foot to get to the city but no, he's complaining in the direction of a rather confused-looking Steelix.]
Maybe if I had a faster Pokémon I wouldn't be in so much pain!
[At least the Steelix doesn't respond or roll her eyes, though it's very obvious that she's considering it. Naki recovers quickly enough though, returning the Steelix and wandering into town. The sun is just starting to set and it actually looks very beautiful against the waves and for a moment Naki admires the view.
...Then as usual, he gets bored and turns away.]
He should be here somewhere... Unless he lied to me--!
[That finally seems to sink in and Naki looks downright horrified for a moment.]
No way, he wouldn't do something so shitty, right? There's no way. Definitely not.
[Still, he reaches into his pocket for his 'Gear and immediately finds the number he's looking for. Guess what, Tsukiyama? You're getting yet another message! If you don't pick it up, he's just going to leave another voicemail, as usual.]

(I mean there's Quebec but not even the Canadians want to talk about Quebec...)]
Ah, I see that your priorities are as good as ever! But they're excellent, yes, don't worry about that.

[And in he goes! Oh god you might want to stop him before he manages to horribly embarrass everyone in the immediate vicinity.]

[Thankfully he's able to follow closely behind; here's hoping he can prevent this from becoming too large of a disaster - in other words, please don't try dealing with the maรฎtre d' and let him take care of it because swear to god Naki if you get him kicked out of this restaurant he's going to end you.]

Still. There's a chance they won't get thrown out and as such, no one has to die today! Excellent. And whomever's seating them seems to have the right idea, given that they spend a moment obviously trying to place the basket case and the fashion disaster somewhere that they won't offend the general population just by existing - but there's a window and the view is nice, and hopefully everyone has the decorum to not throw anyone out of said window (and at...least the landing will be fairly soft if they do, if a bit sandy), and hopefully Naki won't get too fidgety because that is almost always a concern when dealing with Naki.]
I'm assuming you're going to want sugar after the end of your...journey today.

Thankfully Tsukiyama distracts him from that line of thought and Naki rolls his eyes.]
Well of course. If this place is as good as you claim, then they'd better have some great desserts!
[He moves to prop his elbow on the table, then realizes that it's probably rude, so he awkwardly moves to rest his hands on his knees. It's very obvious that he has no idea what to do with himself, but he's actually making an effort, so there's that.]

If I didn't know any better, monsieur, I'd think you were calling me a liar.
no subject
Well, no, I don't think you're lying to me...
[Probably because he's convinced that they're friends and Tsukiyama would never lie to his friends.
...Don't correct him, okay.]
This menu better not be in English or something.
[Even though nothing has been in another language so far.]

Has that been a common problem...? Last I've seen, everything's been in...
[...uh...]
...whatever language we've all been speaking in.
[...................]
...That's never going to not be disconcerting, but it's functional enough.
