Yeah, but I'm not a normal friend. I've had a few people try to be kind to me like this in the past, but it's never been to this extent. I think most of them would have given up on me the moment I told them about the killing thing.
[He's sure everyone else here would have turned on him.]
...I don't really know what to make of it. But thanks, I guess.
[Ryuunosuke doesn't usually have much trouble falling asleep once he's worn himself out enough and tonight is no exception. He's in bed shortly after they've arrived back in his room and within minute of his head hitting the pillow he's fast asleep. He wasn't kidding about getting his sleep!! Tomorrow's going to be just as great as every other investigation and trial!]
[Silver usually has some trouble getting to sleep, even with Weavile around, and after struggling to get to sleep for a while, he eventually realizes his jacket is missing.
Now, he should really know better than to go out at night, but it would only be for a couple of minutes, and he can just outrun anyone that gets anywhere near him. So with that in mind, he pats Weavile gently, tells him to stay with a hand gesture, and slips out.
And he's perfectly content to stick with that plan as he makes his way up the stairs to the top floor, except somewhere around the third floor, he catches sight of Hans and Alphys. Alphys is cornered at the end of the hall, and Hans has a sword raised. Hans, of all people?
It doesn't matter, because before he can think straight, he's bolting down the hallway, grabs Hans in a choke hold from behind, bites his damn ear of all things, and... Is content with his decision, because if he holds him like this for long enough, he'll pass out, and no one will die today.
Which works well enough until Hans stabs him straight through his leg, and it's amazing how quickly he can go from having the advantage to being helpless on the floor.
Don't give up. Don't give up. I have to get back to Ryuu-
Adrenaline picks up, and he trips Hans with his good leg, and then he just crawls over to him and starts wailing on him, because he very much wants to survive and he very much intends to go down kicking and screaming. He does neither, of course, because his leg is kaput and he was never meant to win against a sword anyway.
I'm sorry.
That's the last thing he can think of before he dies; he's fortunately not conscious for the sword going straight through his face, or the four other places he's stabbed for catharsis once Alphys is taken care of, because damn, did he seriously piss Hans off.
Ryuunosuke won't wake up to the morning announcement. If he doesn't hear the scratching on the door, Weavile will slap him awake.]
[The scratching at the door is enough to rouse him, but Ryuunosuke isn't really awake until suddenly Weavile's slapping him.]
Ow, oww! I'm up, I'm up!
[This is new though, and after a moment of groaning and muted complaints he realizes that Weavile's acting really weird. Why is Weavile acting like this, usually Silver—
Silver.
The moment he opens the door Weavile shoots out of it and darts off. Ryuunosuke is slower, both because he's not sure what time it is or if anyone else is awake and because... well, it's Thursday night. It's Thursday night and that can only mean one thing.
But Silver's not stupid. He's fine because he has to be.
It doesn't take long to find Silver. He wishes he hadn't. Ryuunosuke drops to his knees beside Silver's body (because there's no way he's alive; he's seen injuries like this and he knows no one can live through them) and he doesn't even feel the blood seeping into the knees of his pants, he's so focused on Silver.
He promised they'd get out together. And now he's dead. For a long moment, Ryuunosuke thinks he feels something and it's cold and painful in ways he's never experienced. He reaches up absently to find that he's crying and it takes much longer than he'd ever care to admit to get it under control.
He doesn't understand. He only cries when it's useful. He can manipulate people easily like that. He can't do that now. Silver is dead.
Silver is dead.
The tears stop eventually. The sharp, icy pain stops too. Everything does. He rises to leave, not looking at Weavile or Silver (Silver's corpse) and makes his way downstairs.
Might as well get this over with. They need another person to see Silver's body to trigger the announcement and get this over with.
Vaguely he remembers the promise not to kill anyone. He remembers Silver asking what Ryuunosuke would do if he died. It all feels so very far away now. None of it is important, is it? Of course not. There are two more bodies and at least one more murderer who needs to die.
And then? Well, who knows. He did say he could win this game if he really wanted to.
But maybe going out with a bang would be more fun.]

I'm not- maybe? It's nothing special, I just-
[Would you like to try again.]
You're my friend. You're supposed to be kind to your friends.

...
No, he doesn't even want to think about that. Ryuu's important to him, even if he doesn't approve of his lifestyle. That's all there is to it.]
Anytime, Ryuu. I'm always gonna be there for you.

[When he smiles it's genuine and for the first time his eyes look a little less dead.]
We should probably head to bed though. I've gotta get my sleep for the investigation tomorrow!
[Silver is his first real friend and Ryuunosuke is glad to have met him, but he can save that sappy, stupid statement for some other time.]

Right. Let's go.
[He doesn't want to be out and about on a Thursday night anyway, so he and Weavile head straight for the door.]
