CALL ME OUT POST
ISAAC MCDOUGAL
TRUSTFELLED: TRUST FALL WITH A VENGEANCE EDITION
Regardless of the AU Isaac is absolutely involved with water in some way. He's probably a scientist, because being a huge nerd is part of his soul. Being socially awkward is also part of his soul!
Pokémon AU: Trainer info here! Wow, I bet you didn't guess he'd be training so many Water and Ice-types!!! He also loves battling, but he battles Pokémon Special style - he will absolutely ride his Pokémon into battle!!
Apartment AU: A scientist who is either so devoted to his research he doesn't come home for days or he's taking fights as a resident of fight floor. Either way he's a disaster. While he does love puns, he absolutely can't stand Frozen references made at his expense. NO HE WILL NOT "LET IT GO" DON'T EVEN GET STARTED WITH THAT.
Weird Family AU: Father of Angel and stepfather of Inigo. He's a scientist here too, but he tries to prioritize his family over research. He's horribly socially awkward and prefers not to think too much about his kids growing up. How did he end up married to Ferid?? We just don't know.

But maybe it'll stop if you catch whoever is doing it in the act. ]
i can't believe you
Anyway, Isaac is lying in wait this time. He'll definitely see who's been sliding these pictures through the mail slot!! It could honestly be almost anyone in this apartment complex, there are enough assholes who'd do it.]
i am a serious rper
Inigo has a huge grin on his face as he approaches the door to Isaac's apartment, holding a picture of Olaf he'd printed off the internet earlier. Then he drops it down the slot. ]

[You'd think a guy who's 6'6" and built to match would not be able to hide to stealthily, but you'd be wrong!! Isaac is very good at waiting quietly and patiently in the shadows, how the hell did he blend in so well??
WITH THAT SAID, he has finally found the person responsible for this!! Why Inigo of all people.]

...Um, hey, Isaac.

that royals au
And assassination attempts, of course.
Poisons had been a usual affair until he began ensuring that whomever had cooked the meal or brought the gift had tasted it themselves first; watching them writhe in pain over their own mistake was a secret pleasure, really, and had ceased that method rather quickly.
Poisons dealt by weapons, on the other and, were something new all together, and Ferid can't help but feel he might've actually deserved the stab wound in his shoulder for being so careless. It could've been worse. They could've found their mark in his neck. It's just aching and numb now, though, a simple paralyzing poison they probably hoped would stop his heart or contract his breathing.
Maybe if it'd been stronger it would've worked. But it's laughably weak, and when it's been sewn up by the angular royal physician the prince lets himself be tucked into dozens of pillows before he calls on Isaac, hoping his personal guard didn't feel too guilty about the attack; it wasn't his fault, after all, no matter how close they were he had no business when it came to Ferid's more... personal affairs and how he chose to conduct them. Negotiations were always better in bed.]
no subject
(If he had been a little faster or if he'd picked up on that person's intentions earlier, he could have spared Ferid from this—)
He has to give a report of the attack and listen to a lecture about how he can't let his guard down under any circumstance ever and honestly he's just glad that Ferid's influence is so great that he isn't being dismissed outright from his post. If he wasn't Ferid's personal bodyguard, he would have been.
Isaac is all to relieved to get the summons from his master and he makes sure he doesn't look too thankful for being called away from the lecture early. Of course, there's still the matter of attending to the injured prince and as he draws closer to Ferid's room he begins to think that he was a bit too anxious to get away. He can handle lectures. He can't handle the fact that he failed to protect the prince.
(His prince, but those are thoughts that will never leave his head.)
He knocks on the door before announcing his presence and entering the room, immediately stooping into the proper bow once he's standing before Ferid's bed.]
I'm very sorry for what happened today. I won't allow anything of the sort to happen again, your highness.
no subject
[But it's lightly said despite the words used, and Ferid slowly shifts to sit up against the pillows, glancing at the bandages wrapped around his bared shoulder for a moment before continuing, a little more gently.]
It isn't your fault. I don't know what's been said to you, nor what others may continue to say in my place, but it isn't. And if you think to argue against that, remember who you speak to. Understood?
[Though injured and recovering from poison, Ferid is still a prince. Though it's fun to have that sort of back and forth when it comes, he's not in the mood for this sort in particular.]
no subject
I understand.
[It's not something he can easily accept, but he does get that much, at least.]
Is there anything I can do to assist you now?
[He's sure most things have already been taken care of by the servants, but it's the only thing he can think to ask so there it is.]
no subject
Brush my hair for me. I'd like you close, if you wouldn't mind.
[Even if it's been tended to by servants far fairer than Isaac, it's something to do and the sentiment is true: he would like to be close to the one person he's certain above all he can trust, because Isaac's too plainly honest and obvious to actively hide betrayal as far as Ferid can tell.
(He also thought that of his attacker and look where it got him.)]
no subject
[He retrieves the brush and moves a chair over to sit beside Ferid's bed then motions for him to turn.]
...I won't leave your side until you want me to.
[He'll get started once Ferid has turned enough; despite his size and the fact that he's a fighter first and foremost, Isaac is very gentle with Ferid. Too gentle, possibly, but given what just happened of course he's going to be very careful.]

that were doing this au
destroyinggod knows what while he was gone. Eventually he'd show back up in Amestris, though it was always unannounced....which was the case today of course.]
Yo, Izzy! What are you workin on now? [ You bet he's trying to read/get a look at whatever Isaac's up to, because he'll never change.]
no subject
He's currently stationed in South Headquarters and the apartment he has down there is always neat and well-kept. It's definitely not difficult for Terumi to get in; Isaac usually leaves the door open while he's working.]
Research, of course. The exam's in a few months and I need to have some ideas drafted out by then so they'll continue paying me.
[His notes are kept in code - it's not the exact same code as it was in his previous life but it's alarmingly close - but you're welcome to get a look at them! Whatever it is he's writing seems long and involved and probably super boring.]
no subject
That's freakin boring, isn't it? [ Terumi likes research and all, but he was more of a fan of seeing it in action.]
You're always workin on that shit when I come see you. You should do something else for a change.
no subject
[...Isaac is a nerd in this life too, there's no escape.]
Did you have something else in mind, though?
no subject
All you've shown me is your apartment and what's immediately around it. I'll be looking for a new world soon, you know~. [ Plan A of destroying his is going good!]
no subject
[But it's not really a question and he sounds sort of amused. Terumi continues to be aggressively himself, to no one's surprise.]
I can show you more, if you're interested. I can't get you into South Headquarters, but I can at least show you where that is.

So what if he like, barely eats anything.]
no subject
[The answer is easy and thrown over his shoulder while he adds more vegetables to the stew he's making.]
Are you even eating at all? You're stick-thin.
no subject
I didn't know you were that concerned about me, Izzy~.
no subject
[prrrrrobably. he's not 100% sure Terumi would actually have problems, but.]
It'll be ready soon.
no subject
Do you even know what I like? [The better question is does he himself even know what he likes. He's going to try to peer over Isaac's shoulder (why you gotta make him feel short), to see what he's making too.]
no subject
[It's stew! It's primarily vegetables, but there's definitely beef in there. It'll fill you up, sure, but there are a distinct lack of eggs.]
