CALL ME OUT POST
ISAAC MCDOUGAL
TRUSTFELLED: TRUST FALL WITH A VENGEANCE EDITION
Regardless of the AU Isaac is absolutely involved with water in some way. He's probably a scientist, because being a huge nerd is part of his soul. Being socially awkward is also part of his soul!
Pokémon AU: Trainer info here! Wow, I bet you didn't guess he'd be training so many Water and Ice-types!!! He also loves battling, but he battles Pokémon Special style - he will absolutely ride his Pokémon into battle!!
Apartment AU: A scientist who is either so devoted to his research he doesn't come home for days or he's taking fights as a resident of fight floor. Either way he's a disaster. While he does love puns, he absolutely can't stand Frozen references made at his expense. NO HE WILL NOT "LET IT GO" DON'T EVEN GET STARTED WITH THAT.
Weird Family AU: Father of Angel and stepfather of Inigo. He's a scientist here too, but he tries to prioritize his family over research. He's horribly socially awkward and prefers not to think too much about his kids growing up. How did he end up married to Ferid?? We just don't know.

Are you sure, your— Um. Ferid?
[It sounds a little strange to call him that without a "prince" beforehand, but it's nice too. He certainly wouldn't mind getting rid of the formalities for a night.]
no subject
[Which... isn't true, sometimes. He's certain of certain things, and certain of certain reactions, but other times Ferid feels like he's one step on a boat rolling in the harbor's minor waves, bobbing up and down and overly-conscious of it.
It's not an unpleasant feeling, but it's still something that gives him pause. Like now, clenching the blankets a little to have something to hold onto while his smile stays as it always is.]
It sounds nicer than I thought it would, too. Like we're equals.
no subject
I... I don't mind it at all. For tonight! Obviously.
[It really is nice, but it wouldn't do to be too enthusiastic about it, right? He can never truly be Ferid's equal, but for a night it's certainly appreciated.]
no subject
For tonight. Now, what else shall I ask you to do? Shall I see what the limits of your loyalty are?
no subject
[It sounds a lot more personal when he addresses it to Ferid directly and Isaac glances away for a moment before he corrects himself.]
no subject
... Anything is a heavy word to use, Isaac. I could ask such terrible things of you, and you'd do it? No matter how much you hate yourself afterwards?
no subject
I know. It's not the sort of thing I'd offer lightly. But I trust you. I don't believe you'd be that cruel.
[...To him, at least. Maybe it's stupid to think that, but he says it with certainty.]
no subject
How weird it was, to have someone's complete faith like that.]
You're stupid. [But it's full of affection.] Lay with me a while and I'll think of all the cruel things I could do to you, I could ask of you, and see which one I'd enjoy the most~.
no subject
[He's sure he couldn't explain it though. Isaac moves to get a little more comfortable though, but he doesn't really know what to do with himself beyond that. It would be one thing if this were anyone but the prince, but even though he's been told to ignore formalities tonight he's still a little apprehensive to relax too much.]
no subject
I suppose I'm lucky you fell into my service instead of someone else's, then. You'd be a dangerous foe.
[... No, he's still dangerous, and the prince keeps his gaze steady on Isaac, waiting a moment before displaying his open palm.]
Kiss it.
no subject
Ferid's command gets a moment's hesitation, if only because Isaac isn't really sure why this is what Ferid's decided on. The moment doesn't last long though, and Isaac leans down to press a kiss to Ferid's palm.]
no subject
Again. Up my arm.
[A hand kiss was... fine, even if it was usually to the back rather than the palm, but the more one ascends the more intimate it is, and Ferid knows that. He'll even extend his arm as necessary, kind person he apparently seems.]
no subject
What next?
no subject
no subject
...And he doesn't want that, so instead he leans in without asking and presses a kiss to Ferid's neck, lingering a bit longer than he really needs to before pulling back wordlessly.]
no subject
And filled with things he couldn't ask, even in jest or to display an odd form of cruelty.]
... Your obedience and dedication is unmatched, [even if it's a little hard to speak, voice a little hoarse,] and I'll never doubt your word. Good job.
[He pauses, hand reaching up to feel his neck, before he glances away. It's hard to look at Isaac.]
Suppose we were true equals. I, a fellow guard, or you, a prince. What would you wish to do next?
no subject
It is disappointing that Ferid doesn't have any other orders that continue this, because if it was simply orders then at the very least he couldn't say no. (He wouldn't say no anyway. He doesn't know what to make of that.) But there aren't any more orders and he's left staring wide-eyed at the question.
He really can't think of himself as being equal to Ferid, but he's proved his loyalty and that was what this whole test was about. Right? It takes him a long moment to find his voice.]
I... I don't know. I'm not sure I have an answer for that.
[He's not sure he has an answer that's acceptable anyway, and the realization gets him to look away.]
no subject
[A guess at best, since he's the same. Ferid takes the time Isaac looks away to sink into the pillows, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment and opening them when he feels he can control his voice a little better. Putting out, for all intents and purposes, a tone of casual amusement.]
Tell me. I'm sure you can't be that crude, Isaac, there's been far worse said behind my barely turned back before they'd been silenced with their own knives.
[Because Ferid is pretty and bewitchingly so, because he's grown into a handsome young man with no shortage of rumors and admirers, and not all his admirers are so polite with their mouths.]
no subject
He really wants to, but he shouldn't.]
I... I'm sorry, I really can't...
[He'd probably die of embarrassment just trying to admit it anyway.]
no subject
[His gaze has returned to Isaac now, slight tension in his otherwise relaxed position, and knows he wouldn't. It isn't a matter of words. It's a matter of station.
He shakes head. Cruelty would mean forcing Isaac to try anyway, or to take it on himself to guess with great accuracy, and... maybe Isaac's right. Maybe Ferid can't be totally cruel towards him.]
Nevermind. It seems the medicine's finally kicking in and clouding my mind.
[An easy lie.]
Thank you for entertaining my whims, Isaac. As odd as they must have seemed to you.
no subject
He nods though, because even if it was just the medicine talking, he did enjoy it.]
It's... It's alright. I'll always do what I can for you, Ferid.
[The name comes easier now and he's going to have to be careful he doesn't slip up in the future.]
I'm glad I could prove my loyalty to you.
[Even if it was in an extremely unconventional way.]
no subject
I'd like it if you kissed me again. [It's so hard to be casual, but he manages.] Where you please this time.
no subject
[That's not the response he should have gone with, but there really isn't any denying how badly he wants to fulfill Ferid's request.]
no subject
[... Wouldn't he like to?]
no subject
[...But what? He wants to do this and Ferid's certain, so there isn't any need to hesitate anymore. Isaac leans in to kiss low on Ferid's neck again, though it's not anything he rushes with this time. Part of that is because he's not sure he can really look Ferid in the eyes after this, but part of it is simply because he doesn't really want to stop.]
