MURDERGAME - II;
- [Denzel's not entirely sure when he became aware of the giant dome covering the city but suddenly he's very aware of it and it's not exactly pretty. He was just out walking one of his neighbor's dogs and now he's just standing there staring up at the sky with a blank expression.]
What the hell...
[He finishes the walk as soon as he can (but not too soon; Daisy likes to take her time and he's not about to rush the poor old girl) and quickly makes his way back out into town. The dome looks like it covers the whole city, but he's a man on a mission. Denzel's going to head to the edge of town where the dome ends if he's not stopped on the way there.]
RECOLLÉ - II;
- [Well, it looks like the dome is here to stay. Denzel's not content with just sitting around though, so he's out wandering the city with his hands shoved into the pockets of his coat. It's as he's wandering (trying to figure out what to make of the dome and all the other strange goings on) that a bright light suddenly appears in front of him. Considering how dark it is in here, the light is appreciated, even when it goes bounding away. Denzel doesn't hesitate, instead he follows it.
The light leads him to the subway tunnels and Denzel makes his way in. They've been under construction for what feels like forever, but maybe there's a reason he was led here. He takes out a flashlight and shines it around the dark interior once the light fades, frowning a bit as he continues deeper in.
Then a vine snags his ankle and tugs him down. Denzel lets out a yell, reaching for his flashlight, but it's rolled just out of his reach.]
Gah, let go! Dammit...!
[Maybe you should help him out.]
MURDERGAME - I;
- [Waking up in an unfamiliar location is absolutely not Dezel's idea of a good time. He was supposed to be with the Shepard; he just became a Sub-Lord and he has plenty of questions he need to ask. Unfortunately for him, it looks like someone else had other ideas.
Dezel's waiting in the foyer, arms folded and head tipped down so his hat obscures most of his face. You might feel a gust of wind when you enter, but that's totally weird because the whole place is sealed up, there's no way there's an opening in here, right?]
Hey. You.
[Dezel pushes himself off the wall, though his arms are still folded.]
What do you make of those rules?
[He's already gotten someone to read them to him, but he's curious what the others trapped in here with him think about this situation.]
MURDERGAME - II;
- [A week has passed and two people are dead. One was brutally murdered, her head bashed in with a blunt object from the vending machine. The second was killed by the shadows in the pit, executed for the murder of the girl. It's enough to make anyone reconsider their life choices, but Dezel's still alive and surely that counts for something.
The note under his door is ignored because he can't read it, but eventually curiosity compels him to leave his room. He finds everyone in the dining room and the kitchen, either preparing food or eating what was already prepared. Dezel doesn't need to eat so he doesn't, but finding them all gathered here is interesting. This is some kind of messed up funeral, isn't it? Then again, everything in this damn building is messed up, so it's not all that surprising.
He doesn't particularly care for anyone's company here, but he'll take a seat a little further away and listen in on conversations. You might feel the wind pick up a bit.]

Yeah, it did. I figured something weird was going on so I decided to follow it.

Same thing happened to me. This place has been under construction for a long time, hasn't it? Seems weird that the light would lead us here and then vanish. Maybe there's something worth checking out down here.
no subject
I don't know what it means but, it means something all right. I'm pretty confident in that.
no subject
...Just a rat.
[He presses onward, clearly not deterred by that at all.
>Keep going?]
no subject
...At least it's something normal.
[Of course he's going to keep going!]
no subject
[He'll fall silent after that and keep walking for awhile. Eventually the tunnel splits into two paths. Both of them look the same, so...]
Which way?
[Left or right?]
no subject
[...Huh. Who knows how this is going to work, but they could always double back, right?]
Let's go right.
no subject
[Right we go, then! The tunnels look a little worse down here, but eventually there's some light!]
Hey, do you see that? That's not just my eyes playing tricks on me, is it?
no subject
I wonder what that could be....?
no subject
...Huh.
[Denzel moves to board it immediately. Are you coming too or is this too suspicious for you?]

Crap...
[Denzel tries to get the door open and while he's working on that, the silver screen lights up, and something begins to play...]
no subject
He's seen this before, from a different perspective. That rain, that mountain... That dragon.
"Get away from her! If you kill her... if you kill Theodora, I'll never forgive you, Eizen!"]
I......

When it's all over he turns to the other man.]
What the hell was that?
no subject
A memory.
no subject
[He can't imagine why Zaveid would be reacting like this unless it was something important to him, somehow.]
no subject
[God, it pains him not to remember anything about her. To remember her face, her pain, and then turning into that creature that could only harm....]
I knew her.
no subject
Who was she? Your friend?
no subject
[But there's a lot he doesn't know about malakhim, and that's a lot to unload on a complete stranger.]
no subject
[He doesn't really understand, but he can tell that this is bothering Zaveid.]
I'm sorry.
no subject
She didn't always look like that. A dragon, I mean. She used to look like a person, but something happened to her. Something bad. I still don't understand what.
no subject
[He doesn't need to ask, but curiosity drives him to anyway.]

Denzel tries the door again, only for it to pop open.]
Oh, it looks like we can leave. We'd better get going.
[He definitely doesn't want to stick around here any longer.]
no subject
Yeah. Let's get outta here before something else happens.
