[When Wesker didn't contact him a day ago he was worried, but worry has quickly turned to fear and Jaeger's never been good at dealing with fear. Repeated attempts to reach Wesker have failed, so Jaeger's taken it on himself to go looking for his boyfriend.

Thankfully Wesker cuts a distinctive figure and Jaeger's able to trace his location to the outskirts of the city. He's worried that he's going to find that something's happened to Wesker, that he'll be injured or dying, or maybe even already dead—

But that isn't the case, and when he finds Wesker the man looks perfectly fine.]

Albert!

[He'll approach immediately; the worry and concern is probably obvious just from that exclamation alone, but once he gets close he speaks up again.]

Are you okay? What are you doing out here?

[If Wesker will let him get close enough, he'll reach out to touch Wesker's arm, as he usually does.]

You'll take selfies with me sometimes, but usually only after I pester you into it! I wouldn't say it's something you do all that frequently, though. Have you checked your phone? I think I've sent you most of the selfies I've taken!

I remember taking pictures of most of the people I was around. The important ones, usually. Some of them are here now; it was strange seeming them again.

Retrospec gives us things like that sometimes. You usually show me the ones you get and tell me about the people in them. I like hearing about it and putting pictures to the names.

Do I tell you a lot about the people I've remembered?

I know there are some things you keep from me, so I'm sure I don't know everything. I think you tell me a fair amount about the people you've remembered, though.

Yes. You tend to try to keep things from me that you think will hurt me.

You've seen how I am, though, ja? I usually end up trying to pester you into talking about whatever you're going through. So I doubt you could have kept your goals from me even if you'd wanted to.

From what I've seen, I'm very open about them in general. My goals and all.

You mean on the network? Yes, though I haven't read many of your conversations there.

I talk about them often. Both my goals themselves, and what I think led me to them.

I don't know what I think about that.

I can't really speak for why you do that. I've never really been fond of using the network, but it's something you do occasionally.

[Well, okay, he knows why you do it, but he's not really sure he should say it, so this works, probably.]

Though it sounds as though I'm beginning to understand. Not nearly enough to act, but it's... It seems promising to me.

[Well, it might seem promising to you, but it's making him feel uneasy. Surely Wesker - his Wesker - wouldn't actually act on it? He's had thoughts about it, yes, but he said he doesn't have the means to do it and he was so upset about it... surely he wouldn't...?]

It's also evident in the way that I speak to people - explaining that using Uroboros wasn't cruelty, but rather mercy and impartiality; showing a greater understanding for why I've come to believe that such a thing was necessary. Experiencing curiosity rather than fear towards Uroboros in general.

It's interesting to read about; things are changing, and I can't help but consider it a good sign.

[He doesn't like that. He doesn't like that Wesker's been growing more curious about it, but... there still isn't any reason to worry, is there? Wesker wouldn't seriously consider it. He wouldn't.

Still, Jaeger feels chills run down his spine.]

...The last person I was with knew about all of this; she was willing to do anything to help me with it. She understood better than most.

The only other close relationship I had was well before any of this was conceived of, though I doubt she would have agreed with it if she knew.

[The first person he mentioned is Excella, right? It's a good thing he doesn't remind Wesker of Excella.]

It's several things, really. She loved me very thoroughly, certainly more than I knew what to do with; she wanted to be by my side forever, I don't think she would have ever willingly left me. She was European, like you; she was rather attractive.

Our relationship was good, for the most part. A bit domestic, but not in a bad way.

[All of that does sound like him. That relationship didn't last though, and that's not really a good sign.]

It sounds like you were very close. What happened...?

I cared about her as much as I was able to, at least.

We had a fight. It involved something that didn't have a resolution that we could both allow. The relationship dissolved over it; I went back to focusing on my work, and she returned to Europe.

[He wants to ask more about it, but if Wesker didn't tell him what the fight was about, he probably won't even when pressed.]

I sincerely hope nothing like that happens to us.
