LOCKED TO alchemicals

[He doesn't remember anything. All he knows is that there's a bright light in his face and he just wants to sleep. After a couple of minutes of tossing and turning he finally opens his eyes and sits up. The room he's in is perfectly white, without any sort of interesting features. There's a desk and a chair, but nothing on either of them. They're as white as the walls and floor, and on closer inspection, the bed he's in is just as white and spotless as the rest of the room. The sheets are a bit on the stiff side even though he's been sleeping under them, and the bed is kind of hard for his liking, so he finally squirms out from under the covers and stands.

The clothes he's wearing strike him as being wrong, though he can't recall what the "right" clothes would be. They're white - like everything else - and they're very simple. He doesn't have anything to compare them to, but the material is soft and kind of thin and feels a little odd. He shrugs off his confusion about the clothes and starts for the door. Even the doorknob is white, which strikes him as strange for about half a second before he yanks the door open.

The room that he enters is spacious. Like the room he woke up in, everything is white. There's a sofa, a small table in front of the sofa, and a couple of plush chairs. There's a couple of doors leading elsewhere, and his first order of business is to see where they lead. One leads to a perfectly white kitchen which isn't interesting right now (though some part of him wonders if the food will be just as white) and the other door he comes to is locked. There should be a front door around here somewhere though, right? He doesn't want to be here. He can't remember why he's here (or anything, really) but being here doesn't seem right.]

...I don't think so, actually - I mean, I had to get that idea that it doesn't matter if I die or not from somewhere, right?

Like I said, though, we can look out for each other now. And even if no one's looking for us...well, that just means there's not gong to be anyone stopping us from doing whatever we want. Nothing to go back to, but nothing keeping us from moving forward. It's not so bad.

[deaftly]

[That gets Naki to relax a little, though he's not sure when he tensed up.]

Yeah. I mean once we get out of here, we can do whatever we want, regardless of who we were or whatever! It's better to rely on ourselves than anyone else, right?

[alchemicals]

I think so, yeah. And until we get out of here, we can't afford to just sit around and wait for someone else to save us, either.

[deaftly]

Right! We'll figure out how to get out of here! I'm sure we can do it. You and me - we're gonna work this out, I just know it!

[He seems really pumped now, at least? That might not be a good thing given that it's Naki...]

[alchemicals]

Of course we will.

[...And after that there really aren't any words, but there is a lot of aggressive cuddling because holy shit, this feels really good for some reason. He's not entirely sure he can say why without descending into sheer wharrgarbl, but he's not going to think too long about it. Just...cuddling.]

[deaftly]

[He doesn't argue or anything because he really likes this. It's very comfortable and it feels safe which is kind of strange, but he really likes it. Naki leans into Kimbley's touch and makes a soft, pleased noise.]

[alchemicals]

[Oh, come on, don't do that.

But really, "safe" is a good way to describe it, as weird as it sounds to just flat-out word it like that; it's another one of those strange, almost-familiar feelings, though Kimbley still has no idea why. He's happy with it, though, even outside of that - it's not just the memory, weird and vague though it is, it's the experience itself.]

You know we can do this whenever you want, right?

[deaftly]

[The sound Naki makes is somewhere between very confused and kind of concerned, but he eventually manages to find words.]

...Yeah? I mean, I don't see why we wouldn't, it's just...

[He trails off slowly, narrowing his eyes as he thinks.]

I dunno, I guess I kinda thought this was a one-time thing or it was like... reserved for when I'm in tears or something. Don't get me wrong, I'm really glad to hear that it's not a one-time thing!

Why should it be?

[Naki, why...]

We both obviously like it a lot.

[deaftly]

Well, yeah, definitely, I just thought it might be weird later.

[He's not sure why he thought that, given that it's Kimbley, and Kimbley seems like the last person to give a fuck whether something's weird or not. Well, besides the cannibalism thing but that's completely different!]

It doesn't have to be.

[He nuzzles up against him for a moment before continuing - shh, it's fine.]

I like doing this with you, so...anytime you want, really.

[deaftly]

[Naki smiles broadly at that. Sure, the expression's kind of creepy, but at least it's genuine!]

Same here! I'm really glad we're on the same page about that!

[He'll return that nuzzling as well, alright.]

[...You really don't know how to face in a non-terrifying manner, do you.]

...I mean, I'd like it if you weren't in tears or anything either, so you'll probably get it then too, but still.

[deaftly]

[NOT AT ALL APPARENTLY...]

I'll try not to cry then! No guarantees since it's pretty damn easy.

Yeah...? I haven't seen you cry like that before today.

[deaftly]

I guess I didn't really have anything to cry about? I'm not sure. I just get the feeling that it's really easy to get me to cry.

[alchemicals]

Huh. Maybe this just isn't the sort of shit you usually cry about.

[...That's...really awkward, and so is the next thing he's about to say, so he might as well just throw it out there.]

...I don't know if I've ever had anyone cry like that over me before.

[deaftly]

A-Ah...

["Awkward" isn't how he'd describe that judging from the way he's getting teary-eyed.]

W-Well-- you have me!! You'll always have me!! And I'll be sure to cry over you a lot to make up for it!!

What!? If I don't cry over you and no one else cries over you then that's just depressing!!

[He gets the feeling he's done this for someone else before, but that's not important right now.]
