[When Wesker didn't contact him a day ago he was worried, but worry has quickly turned to fear and Jaeger's never been good at dealing with fear. Repeated attempts to reach Wesker have failed, so Jaeger's taken it on himself to go looking for his boyfriend.

Thankfully Wesker cuts a distinctive figure and Jaeger's able to trace his location to the outskirts of the city. He's worried that he's going to find that something's happened to Wesker, that he'll be injured or dying, or maybe even already dead—

But that isn't the case, and when he finds Wesker the man looks perfectly fine.]

Albert!

[He'll approach immediately; the worry and concern is probably obvious just from that exclamation alone, but once he gets close he speaks up again.]

Are you okay? What are you doing out here?

[If Wesker will let him get close enough, he'll reach out to touch Wesker's arm, as he usually does.]

[He doesn't think Wesker is trying to scare him, but the words send chills down his spine anyway.]

...It does still make me nervous, honestly. But I want to stay here, I'm not going to leave.

[He doesn't stop with the hair-playing; he tips his head a little at that, though.]

I don't want to watch people die. The thought of seeing something like that... it really frightens me.

[He's still pretty relaxed despite the words.]

[His words are about as detached as they always are, but there's no anger behind it; honestly, there isn't much of anything behind it.]

It's natural, I think, for you to want to avoid that sort of outcome. I don't fault you for not understanding.

[It's still creepy, but he doesn't feel as frightened as he did before. He probably should feel more afraid considering what Wesker is saying, but for right now he's fine. The hair-playing is calming and he doesn't want to move.]

I still think you will, once it's done. Once everything is over and you see the new world that's been created, it will make sense to you.

But I'm not going to subject you to judgement, personally. I don't think that's necessary.

[He really shouldn't ask, he doesn't want to talk about this any more than is absolutely necessary, but...]

[Unless his present life is infinitely more mercenary than he's giving him credit for.]

[That's... kind of creepy. At least he knows that his Wesker doesn't have any plans to end the world and make him watch.]

...I'm not really sure what to say. I suppose I appreciate it, as much as I can given how nervous it makes me.

[He honestly doesn't know for sure if he does; Jaeger certainly seems to believe that he does in his present life - but then, Excella had believed that, too.

He can't be sure if he's capable, despite the fact that his life has been so disgustingly normal here; maybe he is, but he finds it far more likely that he isn't.]

[You do, he wants to say. He knows Wesker does, he doesn't have any doubts about that. But it's probably not something to say to this version.]

[The words are sort of awkward, but he's still relaxed.]

All of this is important to me; it will come to pass one day. But you're likewise important to me. I'm going to want the world to be ours.

[The words are jarring with the hair-playing, but it's not exactly surprising considering that this isn't the Wesker he knows so well. It's still scary to hear something like that, but it sounds less like a threat now.]

[He should stop. This is definitely not the sort of thing he wants to hear, but... but the touch is nice and he doesn't want to leave, so...]

[For what it's worth, he does seem to be relaxing a bit; he still seems a bit overly guarded, but that's just sort of how he is. He's less tense, though; less blatantly on-edge.]

[Well, as difficult and frightening as this conversation has been, at least Wesker seems to be relaxing a little bit... That's good, right?

Jaeger doesn't really have anything else to say, so instead he leans into the hair-playing again, letting his eyes close as he tries to relax again. He is worried by Wesker's words, but he doesn't have a means of inflicting Uroboros on everyone right now, so it's not really something he needs to worry too much about at the moment, right?]

[He'll just continue what he's doing for a while longer, then, though he'll eventually pull away, resettling a bit and adjusting his gloves.]

I'm still doing what I can to try to remember things; I still don't care for how much has been taken from me.

[Oh that's... sort of disappointing, but he'll settle back once Wesker has moved.]

Understandably so. It's terrible that you've forgotten, but I do believe that someday you'll remember.

[He wants to say that this Wesker is important to him too, but it hasn't gone over well so far and he doesn't want to risk upsetting Wesker again, so he'll just leave it at that.]

I'm sure you aren't. But I also imagine you would like it if I at least remembered this relationship that's so important to you.

Well, yes, of course! I really do want you to remember.

[Look, he's awkward...]

...I'm not going anywhere, technically speaking, even if I do remember. We are still the same person and all.

[He leans back against the couch a bit.]

...Tell me some things about it. The relationship, things we do together, what it's like. I want to hear it; it isn't going to upset me.

[Well, if it won't upset Wesker...]

We spend most of our time here, but sometimes we'll go out on dates. You're very fond of a waffle house, so we usually go there. Other times we'll just find a tall building somewhere that you can scale and we'll look out over the city for awhile.

[...He doesn't need to mention that Wesker holds onto him the entire time...]

It's... really nice. I really enjoy spending time with you, even when we aren't doing anything special.
