LOCKED TO alchemicals

[He doesn't remember anything. All he knows is that there's a bright light in his face and he just wants to sleep. After a couple of minutes of tossing and turning he finally opens his eyes and sits up. The room he's in is perfectly white, without any sort of interesting features. There's a desk and a chair, but nothing on either of them. They're as white as the walls and floor, and on closer inspection, the bed he's in is just as white and spotless as the rest of the room. The sheets are a bit on the stiff side even though he's been sleeping under them, and the bed is kind of hard for his liking, so he finally squirms out from under the covers and stands.

The clothes he's wearing strike him as being wrong, though he can't recall what the "right" clothes would be. They're white - like everything else - and they're very simple. He doesn't have anything to compare them to, but the material is soft and kind of thin and feels a little odd. He shrugs off his confusion about the clothes and starts for the door. Even the doorknob is white, which strikes him as strange for about half a second before he yanks the door open.

The room that he enters is spacious. Like the room he woke up in, everything is white. There's a sofa, a small table in front of the sofa, and a couple of plush chairs. There's a couple of doors leading elsewhere, and his first order of business is to see where they lead. One leads to a perfectly white kitchen which isn't interesting right now (though some part of him wonders if the food will be just as white) and the other door he comes to is locked. There should be a front door around here somewhere though, right? He doesn't want to be here. He can't remember why he's here (or anything, really) but being here doesn't seem right.]

Well, we're piecing together a few things, it's just slow as hell. Maybe the rest will start working itself out if we keep at it.

I hope so. There's a lot of things I want to know. I mean ideally we'd figure out how we ended up in this situation in the first place, but I doubt it'll be that easy.

[Well, it's not that it'll be easy, he's more worried that whoever is keeping them locked in here will decide to erase their memories if they remember too much.]

[He pauses for a moment at that; he can tell Naki's bothered by something, though he's not entirely sure what.]

Hey. It'd be great if it comes back to us eventually, but if it doesn't, then it doesn't. It's not the end of the world; hell, once we get out of here we can be whoever the hell we want.

[deaftly]

I guess that's true.

[He grins after a moment, but there is something he has to ask...]

Who do you want to be when we get outta here?

[alchemicals]

Ideally? Hell if I know.

[It's a good question, though. Huh.]

Maybe I'll create stuff. I like the idea of changing how things work, and taking things apart and putting them together in ways that're better than they were before, you know? Either build off of existing shit, or maybe make up my own if I can come up with something. I'd...like that, I think.

[Naki's eyes are practically glowing by the time Kimbley's done and while it's definitely creepy, his words will hopefully lessen the creep factor a bit.]

Wow, that's so cool! Wanting to do something like that can't mean that you're an awful person, right? I mean, wanting to better things and create is definitely a good thing!

[His expression fades a bit when he's asked what he wants to do and Naki bites his lower lip while he thinks.]

...I dunno. I mean right now I can really only think about being free so... maybe travelling or something? Just seeing what the world has to offer and not being tied down to one place. I think I'd like that.

[Well, if anything he sounds really pleased by that, so apparently the creep factor has been sufficiently lessened!]

That sounds really good, actually - I don't think traveling's ever been my thing, but you'll have to come tell me what you've been doing with yourself once in a while.

[deaftly]

...You wouldn't want to go with me?

[Naki isn't upset (yet), he's just confused. Of course the longer he thinks about it, the more sense it makes. Why would Kimbley want to go with him? Just because they've been through this together doesn't mean they're always going to be together. In fact, that would be stupid. It would just be extending this, wouldn't it?]

[...Oh. Well, that's...]

Would you want me to?

[He's already come to a similar conclusion, after all - they're probably not always going to be together just because of this - and the idea that Naki would want to isn't something he's really figured for.]

[deaftly]

Well, yeah. I mean if you'd want to. If it wouldn't get in the way of your creating and all.

[...For some reason this kind of embarrassing and he's really not sure what to make of it.]

[alchemicals]

[And for a moment he's quiet, though he isn't displeased with it at all; if anything, it's the opposite, and he's back to playing with Naki's hair again when he answers.]

Yeah, I'd like that, actually.

[deaftly]

[Naki brightens considerably at that.]

Ah, really? I mean, you're not just saying that?

[alchemicals]

Of course I'm not - we can go wherever the hell you want.

[deaftly]

Hey, you get to choose too! I kinda want to see if we can find this desert of yours. I'm not sure how badly I'll want to be in a desert, but we might as well try, right?

[alchemicals]

[...Oh.]

...You'd want to do something like that?

[deaftly]

Of course! If we don't magically get our memories back then what better way to try to get 'em than to visit the places we were drawing? I mean there are a fuckton of cities so I'm not sure that'll help me, but there probably aren't as many deserts!

[alchemicals]

That...that'd be great, I...

[...DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY RIGHT NOW APPARENTLY SO HAVE SOME MORE GODDAMN CUDDLING, YOU ASSHOLE, THAT WASN'T FAIR.]

[WHAT DID HE DO???]

Hey, you don't have to get so worked up about it!

[He's teasing though and Naki leans into Kimbley's touch again. After a moment he reaches out to play with Kimbley's ponytail, though he's not pulling on it or anything.]

Yeah, shut up...

[YOU KNOW HOW HE SAID SOMETHING NICE TO YOU EARLIER AND YOUR FEELINGS WENT ALL STUPID BECAUSE YEAH

...that said though, that hair-playing feels really nice? Ooh. That. That might get a pleased sound out of him.]

[deaftly]

[Naki laughs, though the sound is surprisingly gentle and not... shrieky like it normally would be.]

I'm flattered though! I haven't seen you get worked up about anything, so this is a first!

[He'll keep playing with Kimbley's hair both because it's fun and because it got such a cute sound!]

[Ugh, it wasn't cute.]

[Not like either of them know what that reputation is, but that isn't the point. Just let him press into your touch a bit, okay.]
