LOCKED TO alchemicals

[He doesn't remember anything. All he knows is that there's a bright light in his face and he just wants to sleep. After a couple of minutes of tossing and turning he finally opens his eyes and sits up. The room he's in is perfectly white, without any sort of interesting features. There's a desk and a chair, but nothing on either of them. They're as white as the walls and floor, and on closer inspection, the bed he's in is just as white and spotless as the rest of the room. The sheets are a bit on the stiff side even though he's been sleeping under them, and the bed is kind of hard for his liking, so he finally squirms out from under the covers and stands.

The clothes he's wearing strike him as being wrong, though he can't recall what the "right" clothes would be. They're white - like everything else - and they're very simple. He doesn't have anything to compare them to, but the material is soft and kind of thin and feels a little odd. He shrugs off his confusion about the clothes and starts for the door. Even the doorknob is white, which strikes him as strange for about half a second before he yanks the door open.

The room that he enters is spacious. Like the room he woke up in, everything is white. There's a sofa, a small table in front of the sofa, and a couple of plush chairs. There's a couple of doors leading elsewhere, and his first order of business is to see where they lead. One leads to a perfectly white kitchen which isn't interesting right now (though some part of him wonders if the food will be just as white) and the other door he comes to is locked. There should be a front door around here somewhere though, right? He doesn't want to be here. He can't remember why he's here (or anything, really) but being here doesn't seem right.]

...Will you at least come sit?

[He'll pet you some more or something if you do.]

[deaftly]

[Naki finally manages to nod and sits down on the bed, still struggling to catch his breath and stop crying.]

[Back to playing with your hair it is, he supposes.]

Look I...I wasn't trying to make you cry, okay?

[deaftly]

I-I know.

[Naki leans into that immediately, though the crying seems to have mostly stopped by now.]

It's just... I dunno. What you said was... really nice? I guess I don't... get that a lot. Or didn't. Whatever.

[alchemicals]

Yeah, well, you're going to have to get used to it, because I mean it.

Everything's going to work out. And I don't know what happened before, but we're not going to be alone anymore.

[deaftly]

Yeah. I've got you now.

[He's not sure who he had before or if he had anyone, but this is nice. It's not exactly familiar, but it's very nice.]

Thanks. I'm really glad to hear that.

[alchemicals]

Don't mention it. I mean, we're friends, right?

[He'll pull away from where he's been messing with Naki's hair, raking his fingers back through the front of his own.]

Ah, I've still got to teach you how to play cards...lying down is sounding really good right now, though, so we can do that in a bit.

[deaftly]

Yeah, of course we are!

[That gets Naki to grin, though the expression is kind of terrifying. He seems perfectly fine now.]

Ah, alright. I can take watch for awhile.

[It's strange that Kimbley wants to sleep when he only got up a little while ago, but Naki's not going to question it. Instead he gets up and wanders over to the door; he'll go mess around on the walls for awhile.]

[alchemicals]

[Hopefully you won't need him for the next several hours, um.]

[deaftly]

[He shouldn't! But he'll get a little concerned after two, so he's just going to wander into the bedroom and uh... make sure you're still breathing. Just in case.]

[alchemicals]

[He's still breathing!

...okay it's really shallow and he's pretty fucking unconscious but breathing is definitely a thing he's doing]

[deaftly]

[That... really doesn't look good, um. Shit.

Okay, okay, no need to panic. Kimbley's just not awake and it looks like he might die but there's no need to panic!!

...There's no way to get in contact with the people keeping them here, or at least, no way Naki knows of. He doubts they'd just let Kimbley die, but this is kind of terrifying. So if he can't get in contact with them then he has to handle it himself. He doesn't know shit about this sort of thing, he's painfully aware of that. So what does he do?

Well obviously he's just going to go shake Kimbley to try to wake him up!! He's really not good at this.]

[...WHEN IN DOUBT SHAKE THE UNCONSCIOUSNESS OUT OF HIM

Fortunately, he isn't...too far under and he'll come around eventually, if for no better reason than he's seriously being jostled and he's not sure what's going on and wow, he doesn't seem very focused right now, but he'll...manage, somehow.]

...What...

[...Eloquent, Kimbley.]

[deaftly]

[Well of course that's what you do!!

Naki looks very relieved when Kimbley speaks and finally lets go.]

Thank fuck, I thought you were in serious trouble there. Are you alright?

[...he asks, after shaking you wildly.]

[alchemicals]

[...He is not registering very much right now but he is entirely certain that you are some sort of moron.]

I...

[Words.]

I don't know.

[deaftly]

[At least you're aware of that much!!]

Oh shit, um... Do you need some water or something? Or uh...

[Is it obvious that he has no idea what to do? Because he has no idea what to do.]

[alchemicals]

...Yeah. That'd be good, I think.

[IT'S OKAY, NEITHER OF US CAN FIRST AID HERE.]

[deaftly]

[Naki finds a cup and fills it up, quickly returning to hand it to Kimbley. He still looks anxious, but Kimbley's doing better now, right?]

[alchemicals]

...Thanks.

[Shit, man, you are looking kind of messed up.

...Thinks the guy who effectively just fainted, um.]

You going to be okay?

[deaftly]

I'll be fine if you're fine!

[He does believe that, but this is still kind of terrifying.]

Are you feeling any better?

[alchemicals]

Yeah. Yeah, I'll be okay.

[Just. Let him drink the damn water for a second.]

Like I said, I haven't been feeling too well, that's all.

[deaftly]

It... it looked like you were barely breathing, so I was... kinda worried.

[Naki messes with his shirt sleeves while he talks. It's easier than looking at Kimbley.]

[alchemicals]

Yeah, I've been kind of fucked up lately.

[...]

Don't worry about me, okay? Like I said, I've got it under control and I'm not going to die on you.

[deaftly]

But... But if you're sick shouldn't they show up to help, or at least leave medicine or something!?

[alchemicals]

I'm not sick, and I wouldn't trust anything they gave me, anyway.
