LOCKED TO alchemicals

[He doesn't remember anything. All he knows is that there's a bright light in his face and he just wants to sleep. After a couple of minutes of tossing and turning he finally opens his eyes and sits up. The room he's in is perfectly white, without any sort of interesting features. There's a desk and a chair, but nothing on either of them. They're as white as the walls and floor, and on closer inspection, the bed he's in is just as white and spotless as the rest of the room. The sheets are a bit on the stiff side even though he's been sleeping under them, and the bed is kind of hard for his liking, so he finally squirms out from under the covers and stands.

The clothes he's wearing strike him as being wrong, though he can't recall what the "right" clothes would be. They're white - like everything else - and they're very simple. He doesn't have anything to compare them to, but the material is soft and kind of thin and feels a little odd. He shrugs off his confusion about the clothes and starts for the door. Even the doorknob is white, which strikes him as strange for about half a second before he yanks the door open.

The room that he enters is spacious. Like the room he woke up in, everything is white. There's a sofa, a small table in front of the sofa, and a couple of plush chairs. There's a couple of doors leading elsewhere, and his first order of business is to see where they lead. One leads to a perfectly white kitchen which isn't interesting right now (though some part of him wonders if the food will be just as white) and the other door he comes to is locked. There should be a front door around here somewhere though, right? He doesn't want to be here. He can't remember why he's here (or anything, really) but being here doesn't seem right.]

[He finally lets himself breathe at that; he hadn't realized he wasn't until that broken statement at the end.]

Yeah, I didn't think you would. You're a pretty okay guy, you know? I didn't think you'd do anything to me.

[...That said, man, that is weird as hell.]

...How do you do that thing with your eyes, though?

[Naki relaxes as well, though his eyes don't shift back.]

Good! Good, I wouldn't want you to think that I'd... do something like that to you. I wouldn't.

[At Kimbley's question, he absently reaches up to poke at the corner of his eye.]

Um, I dunno. It just sorta... happens? I mean I can kind of feel it happen but...

It doesn't hurt or anything? It just kinda does it?

[deaftly]

Nope, it's not painful at all! I guess it's just something I do. It probably looks pretty weird though...

[alchemicals]

...It's pretty awesome-looking, actually. I can see where some people might think it's weird, yeah, but I like it.

[deaftly]

Ah, really? That's great! 'Cause I can't really stop it when it happens. I mean sometimes it just stops but I don't have much control over it.

[...and now he looks way too pleased with those eyes. Yikes.]

[And thaaaaaaaaaat's creepy! But you know what, he'll...deal, um.]

Well, you can do that to your heart's content, I don't really mind.

It's good to know that you like me, though. That's...nice of you, I guess.

[deaftly]

Well why wouldn't I like you? You are pretty fucking awesome, like you said!

[He doesn't mind the ego-stroking at all, and you're willing to put up with him, so...]

Well, yeah.

[aw yiss just stroke his ego]

But I don't know; I just get the feeling that I was by myself a lot, you know? Even without the whole thing about being locked up that we think happened.

I could be wrong, though - shit, all we have are guesses, right? I could have been the goddamn prince of...wherever-I-came-from for all I know.

[deaftly]

Well, I'd kind of hope you weren't a prince with a haircut like that!

[He's obviously teasing though and Naki grins widely.]

I kinda get that feeling too though. Like, I don't want to be alone or anything, but I think I was.

[alchemicals]

Look, if I really am the prince of Fucklandia, who's going to tell me that I can't cut my hair like this?

[He's amused, though, the smirk and his tone making that more than a bit obvious.]

At least we're not alone here, though. Probably the one good thing about this entire stupid situation.

[deaftly]

Well even Fucklandia needs to have some standards!

[Naki relaxes and his eyes shift back to normal.]

Yeah. At least there's that. I don't think I'd be able to handle being alone here.

[alchemicals]

[That is so damn surreal, good lord.]

Well, you're not going to have to worry about that - even if I find a way out, I'm not going to just leave you here. If things go right to hell then I swear I'll come back for you, but I'd want us both to get out of here if we can avoid that.

[deaftly]

I... You mean it?

[He's not sure why, but something about Kimbley promising that is both a relief and kind of touching. It's also vaguely familiar, and Naki's really not sure what to do with that.]

Well-- The same goes for you! I'll make sure to get you out of here too!!

[alchemicals]

Of course I mean it. It'd just be fucked up to leave you here, you know? And besides, I like you.

[deaftly]

Yeah, I mean, you'd be missing out on my charming wit and awesomeness!

[...]

But I'm really glad to hear that. So uh, thanks.

[alchemicals]

[That gets a laugh out of him, damn you.]

I just figure we've got to look out for each other, you know?

[deaftly]

Yeah, of course! I mean, we're already in this together, so not looking out for each other would be stupid!

[Still, he's really relieved.]

[alchemicals]

Exactly. Now pass me a damn pen, we've got a lot of wall to cover in the meantime and I plan on using those stupid things.

[deaftly]

Fuck yeah, that sounds fun! What color do you want?

[There are quite a few colors to pick from, so choose whatever you want!]

[alchemicals]

[He'll actually take a few of them from the set, red and blue and black, before he starts in on the wall; it's a bit hard to tell what he's doing with them at first, but apparently he's going somewhere with it.]

You've been okay today, though? Not feeling weird or anything?

I figure we should probably check once in a while, if that fucker's going to be coming in here without us knowing it.

[deaftly]

Yeah, I've been feeling alright. I mean, a little weird about the food but uh... that makes sense.

[LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT THAT]

I think we'll be okay if we figure out how to keep watch. I don't want something like that to happen again.

[He pauses and watches Kimbley work for awhile before finally asking the most pressing question.]

...What are you doing?

[alchemicals]

...I don't know, but it feels important. Kind of like the Yamori thing - you don't know why you did it, but it came to mind and so you did it anyway?

[So much drawing, Naki.]

[deaftly]

Yeah? I wonder what it'll look like when you're done...

[He's content to watch though, falling silent and staring at the drawing curiously.]

[By the end of what he's doing, he's got...more or less a simplified version of this on the wall in front of him.]

It's something I used to mess with a lot, that sort of thing. I think.
